After a two-year stint at University of Missouri, where all she did was accumulate $7000 in parking tickets, Madigan launched a fabulous comedy career performing in open mic nights. She has appeared on numerous comedy shows, as well as in her own HBO half-hour comedy special, and hosts a radio program, Blue Collar Comedy on XM Radio. She was named Funniest Female Stand Up Comic at the 1996 American Comedy Awards.
